Chief Justice takes notice of situation in country after dissolution of NA

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial has taken suo motu notice of the current situation in the country.

According to media reports, the Supreme Court spokesperson has said on Sunday that Chief Justice has taken suo motu notice of the current situation in the country following the dismissal of a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan by National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri and the subsequent dissolution of the NA by President Arif Alvi.

It is to be noted that earlier in the day the President Dr. Arif Alvi has dissolved the National Assembly on PM Imran Khan’s advice under Article 58 of the Constitution.

On the other hand, Attorney General Barrister Khalid Javed Khan has reached the Supreme Court after meeting Law Minister Fawad Chaudhry and while talking to media on the occasion, he said that the decision of the Supreme Court would be final.
