The Irrigation Minister of Punjab Minister, Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari has said that it is highly important to conserve water for coming generations keeping in view its increasing demand.
According to media reports, Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari has expressed these views while addressing the Pakistan Water Conference organized by USAID and International Water Management Institute on Friday.
On the occasion, the Provincial Minister further stated that it is need of the hour to stop wastage of water and construct more dams.
“Instead of waiting for construction of big dams, water could be conserved with small projects,” he added.
In his remarks, the Irrigation Secretary Saif Anjum has said that the Irrigation department had started reforms in various wings of the department to achieve desired goals.
