Diamer-Bhasha Dam is a vital project for water storage, power generation and increasing viability of Tarbella Dam, the Prime Minister Imran Khan has said, adding that it is also important project for creating job opportunities and further strengthening economy.
According to media reports, the Prime Minister Imran Khan has visited the construction site of the Dam in Gilgit-Baltistan on Sunday. The Chairman of WAPDA, Lt. General retried Muzammil Hussain briefed the Prime Minister on the ongoing construction work.
Imran Khan also reviewed the ongoing work on the dam site and talked to the workers. He expressed his satisfaction on the pace and standard of the construction work. He said that it will expedite economic activities in the area.
