FM urges Biden to follow up Afghan peace process and withdrawal of US troops

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has urged the new United States (US) President Joe Biden to work on Afghan peace process.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said in an interview with Al Jazeera that President Biden should follow up on the ongoing Afghan peace process and withdrawal of US troops from the country.

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan further stated that the new US administration should realize that there is an opportunity in Afghanistan and they should persevere with what was initiated.

“There are elements from outside who do not share our vision of a peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan,” he added.
