Female students were harassed at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro.
According to the media reports, a senior assistant in the Information Technology (IT) department of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro has been suspended for allegedly harassing female students and an investigation has been initiated.

The University administration said that Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Taha Hussain has formed a three-member anti-harassment committee based on the written complaint of the students. Serious allegations of harassment of female students have been leveled against the Senior IT Assistant, on which the Registrar has issued a notification for the suspension of the Senior IT Assistant on the recommendation of the Anti-Harassment Committee and the order of the Syndicate Chairman.
According to university officials, the anti-harassment committee has begun an inquiry into the case and has recorded the statements of the complaint students as well as gathered evidence, while the suspended assistant’s statement will also be recorded.
