Johnny Depp took to his Instagram account and posted an edited throwback photo to congratulate his longtime friend on his achievement. It’s a Photoshopped image of Downey featuring Depp rather of her then-girlfriend Sarah Jessica Parker. But as soon as he realized his mistake, Depp removed the narrative.

To celebrate the Iron Man actor’s win, he later posted a second narrative featuring actual photos of the two pals from the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards. He captioned the story, “Let’s try this again…” above two pictures of the actors, followed by, “Congrats to my dear friend”.

It is pertinent to mention here that both actors haven’t shared the screen yet but their friendship is real that dates back to the 1990s. Downey Jr. also congratulated the Pirates of the Caribbean actor after the conclusion of his defamation trial against ex-Amber Heard. He said, “John, thank God it’s over.”
