KP, Punjab imposes ban on indoor dining to contain spread of Covid19

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab has imposed a ban on indoor dining at cafeterias and restaurants in order to contain the spread of the novel Covid19 pandemic.

According to media reports, the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department of Punjab has issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.

The notification stated that all food points will only offer takeaway service, along with dining in open spaces, following the standard precautions and strict implementation of the Covid19 related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Similarly, the KP government has also allowed takeaway and outdoor dining. The provincial government has also banned the entry of all kinds of visitors to jails across the province.

Both governments have warned of that strict action will be taken against the violations.

It is to be mentioned here that Islamabad and Karachi have already imposed a ban on indoor dining.

3,499 positive coronavirus cases have been reported in Pakistan in last 24 hours, as the total number of positive cases surpassed 406,810.
