Lahori Woman accuses Babar Azam for ‘illicit relations’ with her

A woman from Lahore named Hamiza Mukhtar has claimed that the captain of Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam allegedly blackmailed her and they had fornicated with her consent, with promises of marriage in a petition submitted in a district and sessions court and prayed for the registration of an FIR in the same matter.

According to Express Tribune report, the complaint said, “We had fallen in love.” Hamiza Mukhtar further claimed that the two had illicit relations, and when she got pregnant, Babar Azam had forced her for an abortion and consoled her with promises of marrying her.

She also attached medical documents as proof with the petition to prove her abortion and illicit relations with the cricketer.

Woman implored the court that she approached the police when she felt the cricketer was ‘betraying her’. She approached Naseerabad Police to register the FIR against Azam, after which she claimed the national cricket team captain assured her that he will marry her.

Hamiza Mukhtar further claimed that Azam has been ignoring her ever since he became famous and has now refused to solemnise marriage with her. She once again approached the police to register the FIR, but the police seemed reluctant, according to the petition.

The judge, Nauman Muhammad, has sought a reply from the concerned police officials by December 4.

In a similar petition, additional sessions and district judge Abid Raza sought a reply from police by December 5 in a petition filed by Hamiza Mukhtar, seeking an FIR against family members of Azam for allegedly threatening her of dire consequences and harassing her since she made the claim against him.
