Over 1.3 million people vaccinated against pandemic: Asad Umar

The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar has said that over 1.3 million people have so far been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus pandemic across the country.

According to media reports, the Planning Minister stated this while addressing a news conference on Tuesday.

On the occasion, Asad Umar has said that sixty to seventy thousand vaccines are currently being administered on daily basis. He said that it is our effort to enhance it to one hundred and fifty thousand to two hundred thousand after Eid-ul-Fitr.

“Nine hundred thousand vaccines were available in the country last night,” he said, adding that if the country received vaccines as per the commitments, the vaccination will be opened for all the Pakistanis after Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Planning Minister also urged the people to fully comply with the health guidelines and follow SOPs during Ramadan to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
