The Ministry of National Food Security and Research said that Pakistan has become the fifth largest country in the world in sesame production with over four hundred million dollars in exports in the current year.
Sesame has been identified by the Ministry of National Food Security and Research as a key cash crop in Pakistan’s agricultural portfolio. This is the outcome of all province governments working together with the Ministry of National Food Security on the National Oilseeds Enhancement Program, a PSDP-funded project.
