The official news agency of Pakistan, APP and Cuba’s news agency Presna Latina have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Islamabad on Friday.
According to media reports, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said that there are immense opportunities of cooperation between Pakistan and Cuba. He said exchange of news between the news agencies of Pakistan and Cuba will help further strengthen ties between the two countries.

Talking about Afghanistan, the Information Minister has said that the world has hailed the role of Pakistan in evacuation of foreign nationals including journalists from Kabul. He said Pakistan has opened a humanitarian corridor to provide relief goods to the Afghan people.
Fawad Chaudhry has assured the Afghan people that Pakistan stands fully behind them. He further stated that the Afghan people cannot be abandoned during these difficult times.
“External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued 250 visas and 85 border crossing NOCs to foreign media,” he added.
