Peoples Bus Service App: In a significant move aimed at improving commuter convenience, Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon officially launched a mobile app for the Peoples Bus Service on Thursday, stating that the app’s primary goal is to provide ease and comfort to the city’s commuters.
According to media reports, Sharjeel Memon stated that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah places a high priority on modernizing the transportation infrastructure throughout the state, with a particular emphasis on Karachi. He stated, “The Sindh Government empathizes with the travel difficulties faced by the people and seeks to alleviate their suffering. The bus service has been incorporated into an online system, which provides a variety of features to consumers. These include registering direct complaints with the appropriate authorities and encouraging rapid resolution of concerns. Users can access online booking services, route information, fare details, and other relevant information.”

The Sindh Transport Minister also stated that more green and red buses will join the People’s Bus service in July, boosting public transit options even further. He also emphasized recent successful measures, such as the introduction of Karachi’s first E-bus and Pink bus. He also stated that the government is looking into the idea of creating an electric taxi service in the city.
Main features of the Peoples Bus Service App
The Peoples Bus Service mobile app will have three primary characteristics, including the capacity to provide general information such as the routes utilized by the People Bus Service, timetables, and rates, allowing users to plan their travel based on the information provided.
The second function will assist in tracking buses, allowing commuters to know where the next bus is and when it is likely to arrive at the chosen station or stop. Furthermore, the customer will be informed of the final bus to arrive at the stop.
Furthermore, the third feature will allow customers to pay for the Peoples Bus Service using the mobile app, including payment via QR code, or they will be able to buy a card and activate it via the mobile app.
