Person who filed treason case against Nawaz Sharif turns out to be PTI worker

The person, who who filed sedition case against former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and other PML-N leaders, turned out to be the worker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

According to Dunya News report, the name of the person is Badar Rasheed and he is an active president of PTI Youth Wing in Ravi Town. He used to attend different meetings with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar. However, the administration of governor house has denied any relation with Badar Rasheed Khan.

The report further revealed that Badar Rasheed is also booked in criminal cases including attempt to murder, weapon possession and interference in state matters.

It is pertinent to mention here that a case of treason has been registered against Nawaz Sharif in Shahdara police station over provocative speeches. PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz and other senior leaders of the party Ayaz Sadiq, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Pervaiz Rashid, Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah and Iqbal Zafar Jhagra were also included in the case.
