Punjab decides to impose smart lockdown in different areas of Province

The government of Punjab has decided to impose smart lockdown in areas of the province with Covid19 cases and took strict notice on violation of Corona SOPs in some markets and business places.

According to media reports, the decision was taken in a special meeting of Cabinet Committee for Covid19 Control which was held in Lahore under Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar’s direction.

The meeting took important decisions to protect the public from the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic. It was also decided to shut such markets where violation is being committed.

On the occasion, the Punjab Health Minister, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that a number of positive cases are being increased in the province which is an alarming situation. She said that the Health Department will purchase more PRC Kits to conduct more Covid19 tests.

Addressing the meeting, Industries Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal said that every necessary measure will be taken to control the second wave of novel coronavirus. He said that ensuring public health is our top priority.

Rawalpindi Institute of Urology was declared as Covid19 Hospital during the meeting.
