The Foreign Minister of France, Jean-Yves Le Drian has said that the French government will tell US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that the United States (US) should not pull its troops out of Afghanistan or Iraq.
According to AFP, the French Foreign Minister has stated this in a televised interview on Friday.
Jean-Yves Le Drian has said that we don’t think that should happen. We will also say that it shouldn’t happen in Iraq, either.
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is preparing for a visit to Paris and that will be the start of an international tour.
After France, Mike Pompeo will visit Turkey, Georgia, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia from November 13-23.
