Veteran actor Sajjad Kishwar dies at age 89

The veteran actor of Pakistani television, film and radio industry, Sajjad Kishwar has passed away at the age of 89 in Rawalpindi.

According to media reports, the renowened actor Sajjad Kishwar had been ill for the past few years and he is survived by a son, two daughters and grandchildren.

Umme Aaman – the granddaughter of Sajjad Kishwar – has said that the actor had been keeping unwell after the death of his daughter last year. She said that the actor was died on Tuesday afternoon and he was suffering from multiple illnesses.

The funerel prayers of Sajjad Kishwar were offered in Shah di Talian Graveyard at Committee Chowk and was laid to rest. A large number of people attended the funeral.

It is pertinent to mention here that the veteran actor Sajjad Kishwar has started his acting career in Pakistan Television Rawalpindi in 1967, in drama Raizgari. He performed in 100 films and 1,000 television dramas during his career. He has also received a Tamgha-i-Imtiaz from the government of Pakistan and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Radio Pakistan.
