Brushing aside all the controversies associated with the film in the past, Director Sarmad Khoosat congratulated August 14 yesterday and announced the release of the film ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ on YouTube in the month of independence. He termed the release of the film on YouTube as his success and the failure of those who banned it and said that this failure is not only his own but also the failure of the system.

The director said that he fulfilled all the administrative processes and legal requirements as a responsible citizen. He said that he paid his dues, worked hard, and got all three certificates from all three censor boards, but still, injustice was done to the film. He said that the director’s cut version of the film i.e. uncensored print is available on the video platform Vimeo.
