Punjab elections 2023 to be held on April 30: President

The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi has announced the April 30 date for Punjab elections 2023.

According to the media reports, President Dr. Arif Alvi has approved April 30 for Punjab elections 2023. He has announced the date after considering the dates suggested by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

It is to be noted here that earlier today, the Election Commission of Pakistan had proposed the dates of April 30 to May 7 for the elections in Punjab. ECP had sent a letter to President Dr. Arif Alvi in this regard in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, President Dr. Arif Alvi is ready to perform his constitutional and legal duties after the date of election.
