To accelerate the first phase of Saudi investments in Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the need for close collaboration with Saudi Arabia.

According to the media reports, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his views regarding Saudi investments in Pakistan while talking to a high-powered Saudi delegation led by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud in Islamabad today (Tuesday, April 16).

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister underscored the significance accorded by Pakistan to its longstanding fraternal, economic, and strategic relations with Saudi Arabia. He said both countries have always stood together at all times.

The Premier also recalled his warm and productive meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Makkah earlier this month. He said that the visit of the Saudi delegation led by the Foreign Minister, immediately after his visit, is a manifestation of the strong commitment of both countries to the strengthening of bilateral relations focused on mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

The group was briefed by the prime minister on the activities of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) aimed at encouraging investment in Pakistan. Additionally, he emphasized the vital role played by General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff and the collaboration of all organizations in advancing investment in the nation via SIFC.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud emphasized that Pakistan’s deep and strong ties are very important to Saudi Arabia. Additionally, he expressed the Kingdom’s dedication to strengthening its strategic and commercial ties with Pakistan. There was also talk about the worsening circumstances in the occupied Palestinian Territories.
