ADB’s receipt of $300 million to stabilize exchange rate: Omar Ayub

The Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Omar Ayub Khan has acknowledged receipt of three hundred million dollars from Asian Development Bank (ADB) for energy sector reforms.

According to details, this has been stated by the Economic Affairs Division in a statement on social networking website Twitter on Friday.

Omar Ayub Khan has said that it will also help to strengthen forex reserves and stabilize exchange rate, the statement stated, adding that he expressed that approval of this program showed the confidence of International Financial Institutions on the reform agenda of the government and its successful implementation.

The Federal Minister has reiterated the commitment of the incumbent government to further continue reforms in different sectors including economy, energy, capital markets, revenue and governance.
