Asian Champions Trophy: the squad of Pakistan Hockey Team for India on the 1st of August to play in the Asian Champions Trophy.

According to the media reports, the Hockey team of Pakistan will travel to India via the Wagah border for the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy. The national hockey team will reach Chennai via Amritsar under the leadership of Umar Bhatta. The team will stay in Chennai for the practice matches and official matches.

On the other hand, the reports further stated that three officials of the national hockey team are still waiting for visas. While the Head coach of the national team, Shahnaz Sheikh, is also facing difficulties in getting a visa on time.

Due to the holidays of Muharram, the hockey players from the nearby areas of Lahore have gone home. However, a practice session of the national team is scheduled in Lahore before leaving for India.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Asian Trophy will be played from August 3 to August 12. Pakistan will play its first match against Malaysia on the 3rd of August. The match between the rivals, Pakistan vs India, is scheduled for the 9th of August.
