The Peoples Party co-chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari has called on the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence on Wednesday.
According to media reports, Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema were also present on the occasion of the meeting between Asif Ali Zardari and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

During the meeting, the current political situation was discussed while the former President thanked the PML-Q President for his support on the current political situation. It was agreed in the meeting that there is a need to promote understanding, respect and tolerance in politics. What happened in the Punjab Assembly could have been avoided.
PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain decided to continue political consultations in the future as well.
It is pertinent to mention here that Tariq Bashir Cheema and Chaudhry Salik Hussain of PML-Q had voted against PTI Chairman Imran Khan in no-confidence motion.
