Begum Samina Alvi calls for global efforts to overcome mental health issues

Begum Samina Alvi – the First Lady of Pakistan – has called for sustained measures to overcome the issue of mental health as well as to ensure the well-being of people in the conflict zones.

According to the media reports, First Lady Begum Samina Alvi expressed her views in a video message for the third Summit of the First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv, Ukraine today (Thursday, September 7).

During the message, the First Lady also highlighted that the brutalities against the Muslims of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India for over seven decades have badly impacted the mental health of Kashmiris. Pakistan desires to see a peaceful settlement of conflicts around the world, she added.
