Biden lifts Muslim ban, vows to be a President for all

After being sworn in as the 46th President of the United States (US), Joe Biden has signed fifteen executive orders on his first day, reversing the policies of former President Donald Trump.

The White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki has said in a statement that among the most notable actions signed by President Joe Biden are ending the travel ban on some Muslim-majority countries and re-joining the Paris Climate Accord within 30 days.

Jen Psaki said that President Joe Biden also signed an order for implementing a national mask mandate on federal property. He said that US will also rejoin the World Health Organization (WHO) as per Biden’s order.

US President Joe Biden said in his inaugural address to the nation that today democracy has prevailed. He said it is a day of history and hope.

Joe Biden also highlighted the message of unity and promised to be a President for all Americans including those who voted against him.
