COAS Gen Bajwa says peace in Afghanistan means peace in Pakistan

The Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has reiterated that peace in Afghanistan means peace in Pakistan.

According to media reports, the Army Chief has expressed his views while talking to Ambassadors of Germany Bernhard Stephan Schlagheck, Ambassador of Italy Andreas Ferrarese, Ambassador of Netherlands Willem Wouter Plomp and Acting Ambassador of France Yves Manville, who called on him in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

On the occasion, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan has no favourites in the ongoing conflict of Afghanistan. He said our sole desire is helping to achieve peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Army Chief further stated that Pakistan values its relations with European Union countries. He said we earnestly look forward to enhance mutually beneficial multi-domain relations based on common interests.

During the meeting, the Ambassadors of Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Acting Ambassador of France also appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability and pledged to play their part for further cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
