Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar termed CPEC as a landmark project in the development history of Pakistan-China relations, which will bring economic progress and prosperity to Pakistan and contribute to regional connectivity and development.

According to the media reports, Chairman China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui called on Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in Beijing today (Thursday, October 19).

On this occasion, PM Anwaar-ul-Haq lauded the vision of connectivity and partnership behind CPEC and the fruits it has borne over the last ten years in terms of economic milestones for Pakistan. He and Chairman Luo discussed collaboration in socio-economic development projects under the CPEC framework in agriculture, health, education, vocational education, water supply, and poverty alleviation.

Chairman CIDCA Luo Zhaohui welcomed the Prime Minister’s proposal for the swift implementation of CIDCA’s projects in Pakistan. PM Kakar appreciated the dynamic partnership between Pakistan and CIDCA and especially commended CIDCA’s strong commitment to development projects in Pakistan. Chairman Luo assured the Prime Minister of CIDCA’s long-term commitment to the high-quality development of CPEC.

It is to be mentioned here that Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will also meet the President of China Xi Jinping in Beijing today. Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and Chinese President Xi Jinping will discuss the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will also hold a meeting with the Chinese Communist Party’s Minister for International Department. The representatives of Chinese businessmen and companies will call on the Prime Minister. Later, PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will leave for his visit to Urumqi.
