Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik seeks FAO’s support in agriculture and other sectors

Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik – the Caretaker Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research – has sought FAO’s support to increase the capacity of Pakistani experts in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and fisheries.

According to the media reports, Caretaker Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik expressed his views while talking to a representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Pakistan Florence Rolle in Islamabad today (Wednesday, September 27).

On this occasion, Caretaker Kausar Malik said the existing collaboration between the FAO and Pakistan to address food insecurity and sustainable agricultural production is very satisfactory.

In her remarks, the FAO representative Florence Rolle said her organization will provide support to drive innovation, transformation, and digitization in the agriculture sector and food systems. She assured the Ministry of National Health Services that her organization would help to improve soybean production in the country to meet growing domestic needs.
