The Northern European nation bordering Sweden, Norway, and Russia, Finland officially joined the NATO as 31st member of the alliance on Tuesday, April 4.

According to the media reports, Finland finally joined NATO officially. NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, while addressing a news conference in Brussels, welcomed the joining.

Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has hoped the step of joining the alliance will make Finland safer and the alliance stronger.

It is pertinent to mention here that alarmed by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last year, the Northern European nation applied to join NATO in May last year.
