Govt vows to provide all-out support to Pakistan textile industry

The incumbent government is committed to providing maximum support to the textile industry of Pakistan to boost the export-led growth of the country.

This was stated by the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Ishaq Dar while talking to a delegation of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association that called on him in Islamabad today (Tuesday, April 4).

During the meeting, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar highlighted the economic and financial outlook of the country and reiterated the government’s resolve to put the economy on a stable path and overcome the ongoing challenges. He said that the government is committed to providing maximum support to the textile industry of Pakistan.

The delegation of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association briefed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar about its contribution to the revenues, employment generation, and exports of the country despite the challenges. It apprised Ishaq Dar of the issues being faced by the textile industry in terms of gas and electricity supply and their prices, and regarding imports and exports. The delegation extended their all-out support to the government in the economic development of the country.

Federal Minister Ishaq Dar directed the relevant authorities to address and resolve their issues on a priority basis.
