Germany appreciates Pakistan’s continuous efforts for peace, stability in region

The Foreign Minister of Germany, Heiko Maas has acknowledged and appreciated the continuous efforts of Pakistan for peace and stability in the region.

According to media reports, the German Foreign Minister has expressed his views during a meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

During the meeting, both sides have discussed the matters of mutual interest, overall regional security situation, including latest developments in Afghanistan and bilateral cooperation in various fields. They expressed the desire to enhance more bilateral relations between both the countries.

In his remarks, the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Germany and expressed desire for enhanced mutually beneficial bilateral relations.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has thanked General Qamar Javed Bajwa for assistance rendered by Pakistan during evacuations from Kabul.
