Global Health Security Summit is top-most priority of Pakistan

Dr. Nadeem Jan – the caretaker Federal Minister for Health – has said that the Global Health Security Summit is the top-most priority of the caretaker government of Pakistan.

According to the media reports, the Caretaker Health Minister Dr. Nadeem Jan made these remarks while chairing the Inter-Ministerial Health and Population Council meeting in Islamabad today (Saturday, September 16).

On the occasion, the Caretaker Minister for Health said that for the first time in history, Pakistan will host a Global Health Security Summit in November this year. He said leaders, top experts, and stakeholders from across the world will be invited to participate in the summit.

Dr. Nadeem Jan further stated that this summit will help Pakistan to finalize its strategic roadmap to tackle health emergencies and epidemics effectively in the country. He also emphasized the need to develop integrated strategies for disease eradication and said that the Federal Ministry of Health will ensure all possible support to control infectious diseases in the country.
