Govt directs SSG and SNG companies to better manage gas supply: Hammad

The Federal Minister for Energy, Hammad Azhar has said that efforts are being made to improve supply of gas in the system.

According to media reports, the Energy Minister has expressed his views while addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Friday.

On the occasion, Hammad Azhar has said that the Sui Southern Gas and Sui Northern Gas companies have been directed to better manage the gas supply. He said gas demand increases in the winter, and supply of gas to domestic consumers is preferred in this season.

The Energy Minister further stated that the gas reserves in the country decrease by nine percent every year whereas the demand has been on the rise.
