Govt to give 2000 stipend to each disabled person from next month: President

The President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi has said that Gilgit Baltistan has great potential for development of tourism, hydropower, minerals and agriculture sectors which need to be explored.

According to media reports, the Preisent has made these remarks while presiding over a briefing session of members of Gilgit Baltistan cabinet in Gilgit on Tuesday.

On the occasion, Dr Arif Alvi has said that the Pakistan Tereek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government is taking steps to put all parts of the country on path of rapid development and prosperity.

The President further stated that the government is launching a package for disabled persons from next month.

“Monthly stipend of two thousand rupees will be given to each disabled person,” he added.
