International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking: We are determined to save Pakistan from drugs

The Federal Minister for Narcotics Control, Ijaz Ahmad Shah has said that every person of the country will have to play his role in the fight against drugs to protect the future of generations to come.

According to media reports, the Narcotics Control Minister has expressed these views in his message on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Saturday.

Ijaz Ahmad Shah has expressed the commitment to eliminate the scourge of drugs from the country. He further stated that we are determined to save our country, people and youth from the danger of drugs.

“Strategy has been chalked out to control the spread of drugs in the society,” he added.

It is to be mentioned here that the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is a United Nations (UN) International Day against drug abuse and the illegal drug trade. It is observed annually on 26 June, since 1989.
