This year, the International Labour Organization will commemorate the occasion with six activities that will take place in significant global cities.

On the International Day of Social Justice, India has denied social justice and fundamental rights to residents of its illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir region as well as to minorities living there, particularly Muslims. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman said in a statement released in Srinagar that although Kashmiris have been fighting for their rights for the past 70 years, India has been depriving them of their rights under international law, which is mandated by the UN.

Communities that identify as Muslim, Christian, Dalit, or Sikh have also voiced a great deal of dread and insecurity as a result of institutionalized discrimination and discriminatory laws.
