A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the field of Information Technology.

According to the media reports, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed during a meeting between Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology Umar Saif and Engineer Abdullah Amir Al-Sawaha in Riyadh today (Monday, October 2).

The Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq and leading IT experts were also present on the occasion. It was agreed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would work together in the field of information technology and promote the private sector.

The agreement also included a bilateral agreement on the digital economy. Interim IT minister Dr. Umar Saif is in Saudi Arabia with a delegation of IT companies to explore business opportunities in the Kingdom.
