The makers of the year’s most-awaited upcoming inspirational sports drama “Toofaan” has announced that the film will will premiere directly on to Amazon Prime Video on the 21st of May, 2021 across 240 countries and territories.
The film has featured Farhan Akhtar in the lead role opposite to Mrunal Thakkur. The remaining cast of the film also includes Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Hussain Dalal amongst others.
“Toofaan” has been directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar.
According to Santabanta, the director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said that after working with Farhan in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag he was certain that Farhan would be the perfect protagonist for Toofaan. He said that the best thing about Farhan is that he does not act the part, but lives it completely.
“Toofaan is a story that will motivate and inspire all of us to get out of comfort zones and fight towards achieving our dreams. We cannot wait to present our film to viewers across the globe,” he added.
