The Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to formulate final proposals of Nalla Lai Expansion Project after consultation with all stakeholders and submit it for approval. He said Nalla Lai Expansion Project is very important for Rawalpindi for preventing its residence from flood situation.
According to media reports, the Prime Minister has stated these while addressing a meeting to review the project in Islamabad on Thursday. The meeting was given detailed briefing on the expansion of Nalla Lai as well as expressway, ring road and industrial zone projects on both sides.
PM Imran Khan has said that due to the increase in population of the city over the years, the residents are facing various problems and this project will boost investment and economic activity where the people’s problems can be solved.
The project also includes proposals for modern construction on both sides, drainage, treatment, and bridges and interchanges for traffic flow with estimate of about 79 billion rupees.
