National Remittance Loyalty program to soon be introduced for overseas Pakistanis

The Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that overseas Pakistanis are a precious asset of the country and directed the relevant ministries to consider extending more incentives to them to attract maximum remittances.

According to media reports, the Prime Minister has made these remarks while chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Friday regarding increase in foreign remittances.

During the meeting, Imran Khan has said that the remittances sent by them have an important role in the country’s economic stability. He said the government is determined to extend full facilitation to overseas Pakistanis and their families.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the need for evolving a strategy to achieve the targets set for different sectors.

The Premier was informed during the meeting that the National Remittance Loyalty program will soon be introduced for the facilitation of overseas Pakistanis in which a mobile app will be launched and more financial incentives will be extended to overseas Pakistanis.

The program will be launched in cooperation with different departments including Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PIA), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), NADRA, State Life, OPF and Benevolent and Old Age Employees Fund.

The meeting was further informed that Roshan Apna Ghar Scheme will also be launched soon for overseas Pakistanis. It was also informed that about 1.561 billion dollars have so far been received in Roshan Digital Account in a short period of ten months and there is a consistent increase in inflows.
