Ishaq Dar – the Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs – has expressed Pakistan’s desire to enhance relations with Uzbekistan in various fields including trade and economy.

According to the media reports, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed his views during a meeting with his Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in Islamabad today (Wednesday, May 8). He said that there are strong friendly relations between the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said his country attaches great importance to relations with Pakistan. He said they consider Pakistan as their second home. The two leaders also resolved to expedite efforts for early implementation of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Project.
