Pakistan General Elections 2024: Murtaza Solangi – the Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting – has said no candidate or party is being favored by the caretaker government during its constitutional tenure.

According to the details, Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi made these remarks regarding the general elections 2024 of Pakistan during an interview with a private television. He said equal coverage is being given to all registered political parties on Pakistan Television, Radio Pakistan, and Associated Press of Pakistan.

Murtaza Solangi reiterated the government’s commitment to hold the elections on February 8. He said the government has no intention to use force against the protestors camped outside the Islamabad Press Club for the past 23 days.

The Caretaker Information Minister further stated that Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has constituted a three-member committee on this matter. While talking about the protests, he said the committee held negotiations with the protesters and immediately ordered the release of women and children. He said several male protesters have also been released.

On the other hand, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said that it is a constitutional requirement to hold elections which would be held on February 8 after which a newly elected government would be formed. He said that there should be no doubt about polls as the election process has started with the candidates filing their nomination papers and the political parties busy building narratives to attract voters.
