Pakistan saved Afghanistan from being isolated: President

The President Dr Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan saved Afghanistan from being isolated and portrayed an actual picture of the war-torn country.

In an interview, the President has said that Pakistan played a major role in the peace and stability in Afghanistan. He said the world recognized Pakistan as ‘a peaceful and responsible nuclear state, governed by morality and moral values.

Dr Arif Alvi has said that, contrary to Pakistan’s role, India’s profile is diminishing due to its antics and today, the world recognized Prime Minister Imran Khan’s initiatives.

While talking about minorities’ rights, he said minorities are protected in Pakistan and enjoy equal rights. He said that the executive and judiciary and other organs of states have taken prompt actions in the recent past to protect minorities.

The President cited the Sialkot incident and the generous gesture of Sialkot business community for making a donation to widow of slain Sri Lankan national.
