Pakistan is about to launch its first Green Bond to finance renewable energy transition, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Amin Aslam has said.
According to media reports, the Special Assistant on Climate Change has expressed these views while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Monday.
Amin Aslam further stated that this five hundred million Euro bond will be launched by WAPDA. He said that the present government is giving special emphasis to the protection of environment.
The Special Assistant has said that one billion tree tsunami project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a complete success and now the Federal government is executing ten billion tree Tsuanmi project.
“This project is also providing thousands of jobs to the youth,” he added.
