Pakistan views Japan as a trusted development partner: FM

The Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan attached great importance to its political and economic relationship with Japan.

According to details, the Pakistani Foreign Minister has made these remarks while talking to his Japanese counterpart Motegi Toshimitsu in New York.

During the meeting, Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan views Japan as a trusted development partner. He called for exploring further avenues to deepen the bilateral relationship between the two countries in all spheres.

While talking abbout the current situation of Afghanistan, FM Qureshi has emphasized that the establishment of sustainable peace and stability in Afghanistan is of paramount importance for the region. He said that it required active engagement on the part of international community.

Bothe the leaders have also exchanged views on bilateral relations between Pakistan and Japan as well as on other issues of mutual interest including the situation in Afghanistan.
