The legendary Pakistani actor and director Masood Akhtar has passed away on Saturday in Lahore after prolonged illness.
According to media reports, the family of the actor has confirmed the news and said that Masood Akhtar was admitted to hospital a month ago after his health deteriorated.

According to Akhtar’s family, the veteran film, TV actor and director had been facing multiple medical complications.
It is pertinent to mention here that Akhtar received recipient of the Pride of Performance Award. He contributed to Pakistani entertainment industry by playing key roles in many TV dramas, films as well as theatre productions.
The veteran Pakistani actor Masood Akhtar has got his fame with his one of his early plays, Paisa Bolta Hai, which was staged at Alhamra Arts Council in the 1970’s.
