Pakistani Fatima Sana receives ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year trophy

The fast bowler of Pakistan Women Cricket team Fatima Sana received the International Cricket Council (ICC) Emerging Women’s Cricketer of the Year trophy for 2021.

According to details, the cricketer has shared her picture with the award on her Twitter account on Friday. She wrote, “”Alhumdullilah […] It’s an absolute honour to receive the trophy of @ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer Of The Year.”

While expressing her intent to perform well in the future as well, the Pakistani pacer stated ,”Onwards and upwards InshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad.”

It is to be noted here that Fatima Sana has made the nation proud by not only bagging the ICC award but also by becoming the first female cricketer from the country to win an ICC accolade.

In a statement, ICC said that the 20-year-old pacer impressed one and all with her all-round efforts in 2021.

“She became an integral part of Pakistan’s ODI and T20I side owing to her wicket-taking ability as a bowler, and ability to add handy runs down the order at the same time,” ICC added.
