PhD Country Directory Online System has been launched by the Higher Education Commission for the benefit of PhD scholars.
According to the media reports, the PhD Country Directory Online System was inaugurated by the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain at a ceremony at Higher Education Commission, Islamabad today (Tuesday, April 11).

The Online System will enable the inclusion of Pakistani PhDs in the HEC data, through university focal persons, within a few days without the submission of documents or applications in hard form. The system can be accessed through eservices.hec.gov.pk.
Earlier, it took several months for a PhD scholar to be part of the registered PhD community of Pakistan.
Addressing the ceremony, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain commended the launch of the online system and hoped that the development will benefit the PhD scholars. He said universities should establish special on-campus setups for the promotion of skill-based education.
