PPP requests ECP to hold bye elections on vacant seats: Sheikh Rashid

The Senate elections could be held in between 12th February to 12th March, the Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said.

According to details, the Interior Minister has stated this while talking to a private news channel.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed further stated that the government has decided to go to the Supreme Court to hold open ballot election in the Senate.

Interior Minister has said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had requested the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold bye elections on vacant seats.

“The Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to hold accountable those who looted the national wealth ruthlessly,” he added.
