President Dr Arif Alvi asks to facilitate meat exporters and address their problems

The President Dr Arif Alvi has asked the concerned Ministries and Departments to facilitate the meat exporters and address their problems.

According to details, Dr Arif Alvi was chairing a follow-up meeting on Meat Exports and Processing in Islamabad on Monday.

During the meeting, the President has underlined the need for development of livestock sector in the country. He said the livestock sector can contribute to economic development, food security and poverty alleviation.

Dr Arif Alvi further stated that the sector also has great potential to earn foreign exchange and it was essential to increase its export value by meeting international requirements and ensuring quality control of our products.

The President also reiterated the commitment of the government to address the problems of meat exporters and processors enabling them to enhance production and increase exports.
