Establishment of three Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Sindh, Punjab and Islamabad have been approved by the Prime Minister Imran Khan. He directed to provide utilities, infrastructure and other facilities to the SEZs on priority basis.
According to media reports, the decision has been taken by the Prime Minister while chairinig a meeting in Islamabad on Thursday to boost investment and economic activities in the country.
The approved SEZs are Special Economic Zone Sindh, China-Pakistan Special Economic Zone in Raiwind and National Science and Technology Park in Islamabad.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Prime Minister Imran Khan had said on September 14 that Rashakai Special Economic Zone would play an important role in progress and development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
20 more SEZs would be established in the country to boost up the national economy.
